Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-10-18
These terms are the contract between you and flidek. Please read them before you accept a proposal. If anything is unclear, email customersupport@flidek.com first.
1. Who we are
flidek is provided by Daniel Joel Coatsworth, Trading as Flidek (a sole trader), of [to be completed]. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that business, and “you” means the business buying the service.
2. Businesses only
flidek is for businesses. By accepting a proposal you confirm that you are buying for the purposes of your business or profession, and not as a consumer, and that you have authority to bind that business.
3. The service
We set up and test an automation for your business, based on a ready-made template and the answers you gave us, as described in your proposal. Your proposal sets out what is included. Anything not listed in it is not included.
4. Proposals, prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling. The total is shown on your proposal before you pay.
- Prices come from our price list. Our proposals are drafted with the help of AI, but the AI does not set the price. If we notice a clear mistake in a proposal, we will tell you before you pay.
- A contract between us starts when you accept the proposal and your payment is confirmed. We will not start work before that.
- Payment is taken by Stripe. We never see your card details.
5. Connecting your accounts
To run your automation we need you to connect certain accounts (such as Google email or calendar). You confirm you are allowed to connect them. We ask only for the permissions the automation needs, we use them only to run your automation, and we store the access securely. You can withdraw access at any time through your Google account settings or by emailing us. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we do with Google data.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information, and tell us if it changes.
- Use the automation lawfully. For example, if it sends emails or messages to your customers, you are responsible for having the right to contact them (including the UK rules on electronic marketing) and for what the messages say.
- Keep your own account passwords and access secure.
- Do not use flidek to send spam, to break the law, or to harm others, or try to interfere with or attack the service.
7. Our promise to you
We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care, and set up your automation substantially as described in your proposal. We rely on other companies (for example Google, Stripe and our hosting providers), so we cannot promise the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will never be affected by a problem at one of them. We will work to fix problems promptly.
8. Cancelling and refunds
- If we cannot deliver the automation described in your proposal, we will refund what you paid for it in full.
- If you change your mind before we have started setting up your automation, tell us and we will refund you.
- Once setup has started, because we have already carried out work for you, payments are not refundable, except where we have failed to deliver as described in section 7, or where the law requires otherwise.
9. Intellectual property
We keep all rights in flidek, its templates and its software. You keep all rights in your own information and content. We give you the right to use the automation we set up for you in your own business.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that:
- we are not liable for lost profit, lost business, or indirect or consequential loss; and
- our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose.
11. Suspension and ending the contract
We may suspend or end the service if you seriously break these terms or use flidek unlawfully, or where we must to protect the security of the service or other customers. We will tell you why, where we can. Sections that by their nature should continue (including 9, 10 and 14) continue after the contract ends.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version you accepted is the one that applies to your purchase. Changes apply to future purchases, and to existing customers only where the law allows or where they benefit you.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything, email customersupport@flidek.com and we will try to put it right.
14. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Schedule 1: How we handle your customers' data
Your automation may pass information about your customers through flidek (for example the name and email of someone who contacts your business, or the details of a booking). For that information you are the “controller” and we are your “processor”, as those terms are defined in UK data protection law. This Schedule is the written contract that law requires between a controller and a processor.
- What and for how long. We process this information only to run your automation, for as long as we provide it. The information is the kind your automation handles: contact details and messages or bookings of your customers or enquirers. It concerns the people who deal with your business.
- Your instructions. We process it only on your documented instructions, which are these terms, your proposal, and the way you configure your automation. If we think an instruction breaks the law, we will tell you.
- Confidentiality. Anyone at flidek with access is bound by a duty of confidence.
- Security. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including those listed in our Privacy Policy: encrypted connections, encrypted storage of account tokens, restricted access, and signed messages between our systems.
- Other companies we use. You agree we may use the companies named in section 6 of our Privacy Policy to run the service. We will make sure each is bound by data protection terms no less protective than these, and we remain responsible for them. We will tell you before adding a new one that handles your customers' data, and you may object on reasonable grounds.
- Helping you. We will help you respond to your customers' requests to use their rights, and with your obligations around security, breaches and impact assessments, taking into account the nature of our processing.
- Breaches. If we become aware of a breach affecting your customers' data, we will tell you without undue delay.
- Ending. When the service ends, we will delete this information, or return it, as you ask, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Checking our compliance. We will give you the information you reasonably need to check we are meeting these obligations, and allow reasonable audits.
- Transfers. Some of the companies we use handle data outside the UK. We make sure such transfers are covered by safeguards that UK law allows.
